42 Billion Dollars Would Buy A Lot of Reefer
According to new research America’s marijuana laws cost taxpayers $42 billion dollars per year in law enforcement costs and lost tax revenues. You can read the study at this link. I’ve never understood why we don’t just regulate marijuana. You’re talking about a cash crop that is more valuable than corn and wheat combined. And I’m not some bong toking slacker who’d bust a nut if pot was legal. I mean, I used to be a bong toking slacker, but those days are long gone. Now I’m just a slacker. I simply don’t understand why marijuana should be illegal. Maybe someone can play devil’s advocate here, but as I see it, this is yet another example of our government’s short sighted stubbornness.
If Marijuana were legalized, it would be chaos, it would be anarchy, it would totally unacceptable because, you see, then, people would smoke it. Besides marijuana makes men grow breasts, become impotent and act gay. Do you want a nation full of fags? Plus, reefer makes musicians play all crazy, like jazz (instead of good all-american country and western music).
October 12th 2007 - 5:10amNice Paulie, six great reasons marijuana should not only be illegal, but eradicated from the planet. I like. Though I got to admit even if it makes one a homosexual, country singer with man-breasts I still think it should be up to the individual to decide. Thanks for the comment Paulie.
October 12th 2007 - 12:02pmI agree that it should be legal and that if it were, we would all benefit. And I’m not referring to these so-called gay smokers, which by the way, is total crap.
October 13th 2007 - 11:31amSara - Thanks for dropping by, and the comment. Yeah, I’m with you. It’s a self-defeating policy, and, while I’m no scientist, I believe the weed-gay link is bunk. I don’t want to speak for Paulie, but I kinda read his comment as being humorous/facetious. Is there even a weed-gay link? Made up or otherwise.
