Black market parts from the chop shop.

The Colophon Page, which is a fancy word bastardized by bloggers for their self serving interests.

01. Basic Building Blocks

Putting aside the obvious considerations like my good friends electricity and evolution, I use WordPress to disseminate me to the huddled masses. I’m bleeding my fingers on a keyboard attached to a MacBook Pro. My Mac runs some software called Transmit and TextMate. These two programs help me broadcast my narcissistic echoes to the internets.

02. The Current Design-Theme

So what you’re looking at is a new design. I’ll write it up soon enough, but should probably clean it up first.

03. Site Hosting

I use the mighty fine A Small Orange to serve this humble abode to the passing traffic. ASO is a first rate hosting company based in Atlanta, Georgia. ASO’s support is world class. Their performance would make a porn star blush. I couldn’t be happier with them, and give them a hardy recommendation.

04. WordPress Plugins Used

These change fairly frequently as I’m a bit of a fickle bloke. That and I’ll probably forget to change this list. That and I won’t install a plugin which automates this whole thing. I’ve broken down the plugins I use into the two lists below. One for all the frontside plugins, or the ones you’ll notice, and another from the backside ones, or the plugins you will not notice.

i. Frontside Plugins

ii. Backside Plugins

05. Site Typography

I love typography. Don’t know a damn thing about it, but fonts and Font Art makes me giddy. I could look at pictures of fonts used creativity all day. I mention this for no real discernible reason other than I needed some space between that h3 header up there and the h4 header below, which this accomplishes. It’s also a shoddy lesson in managing typographical space.

i. Body Fonts

  • Calibri
  • Helvetica Neue
  • Helvetica
  • Arial
  • Smattering of Georgia

ii. Heading Fonts

  • Calibri
  • Helvetica Neue
  • Helvetica
  • Arial
  • Copperplate on one occasion, just because

06. Resources

Where I list some other folks hard work that I’ve folded into this humble abode.

Built on WordPress. 95% Valid 43% of the time. Eat my feed. Snatch my vCard. Vote for Barack. I'd also like to thank the Academy, James’s Gate Brewery, the makers of Red Star Acid, and my undead laywer Fred Marpukiss
