Great Lego Advertisments

You know, when I was seven or eight I build what I can only assume was the greatest single Lego creation in the history of mankind. I spent close six hours working out a futurist city-scape of such splendor and grandiosity it was the one time in my life I dared consider myself a genius. My hands trembled, and my eyes frequently welled with tears as the power of brilliance guided my hands, moving little plastic bricks in a symphony of glory. As I neared the conclusion of my masterpiece, which I had already decided I’d keep forever, and go on tour with across the steepled plains of America’s mountain majesty, my sister burst into my room and kicked my Lego beauty into a chaotic mess of disrepair and piercing pain. My heart stopped beating for all of one minute. Until I realized I had done the same thing to her the day prior. I’ll often look back at that day as my one moment of true creative bliss. Legos have this power.
A symphony of glory! But then your sister killed your darling. Oh my. Good thing you’ve learned how to write, that makes up for all the spilled Legogeniosity.

Why am i a dog in a square? I wanted to be a hedgehog in a circle.
September 26th 2007 - 3:45pmWenz - Much thanks for the nice words, and the facial gymnastics. I appreciate you leaving the comment. It pleases me to be able to put a name and voice (a written one) to someone who reads my writing. As for the dog, it’s not just a dog. It’s the the dog so it may be an obscure honor, but an honor nonetheless. I will admit though than a hedgehog in a circle sound appealing.
September 27th 2007 - 11:06amAh, it’s the dog! In that case: I still like the hedgehog better, but now I appreciate this one as wel. Does that work for you?
You sound so grateful when people post a comment, how come? (It’s very sweet, don’t get me wrong!) Sounds like your readers barely ever leave comments? That’s a shame, it’s always nice to get some feedback on your thoughts. So once and for all: like your thoughts. Like like like. Them. A lot. I do!
