In a Backpocket
I have this small Moleskine notebook I tote around in my back-pocket. Serves as a second brain. I’ll jot down ideas great and small, snippets of conversation, whatever. It’s there and I use it frequently. A good ninety percent of what goes in never comes out. Here’s an example why. Circled in the middle of a page, barley legible:
First three rules of extreme fighting from a bar stool
That’s it. Not sure when it was written, why it was written, or where I thought I might be going with it, but it’s an example of the kinda nonsense that goes into a back-pocket.
