Jack and Jill Went Down a Hill

Jack and Jill went up a hill to fetch a pail of water. Happy little children with rosy cheeks watch the pail go down, down, down and down, down, down and down, down, down.
Jack and Jill went down a hill without a pail of water. The well was dry, the sun blazed hot and UV rays will kill ya. Icebergs melt, the shore line drowns and insects as big as apples. The air is choked with chemical smoke. The soil is rich with nothing.
People die in ozone wonder. The planet shakes with disaster. Men make plans for yesterday while today’s the day that gets ya. Laws and rules of Industry stifles humanities flowering. Mother Earth hangs her head and says a pray of forgiving.
Jack and Jill went up a hill to escape the rising water. Jack he drowned and Jill she found life wasn’t much worth living.
