Listening to the Brilliance of 2001

I come across these sound recordings from the movie 2001. They reminded me what a brilliant movie that was, and after running through a bunch of quips from HAL it dawned on me that the HAL-9000 might be one of the most human movie characters of all time. Really, there’s not an emotional note it misses, or a mode of human thought it doesn’t address, from the metaphysical to the logical.
