My Computer is Burning

So I sat down in the boathouse this morning to catch up on some comments, fiddle with the new theme some more, and write two posts I’ve had on my mind - your basic weblog maintenance type stuff. Flipped open the Mac, plugged in the wounded power cord, put my head down and went to work.

Then I noticed a problem. My wounded power cord was burning with a few wisps of smoke for good measure. So I unplugged it and lamented my situation. Chances are I won’t be able to fix the cord this time which means I may eventually lose juice which means I’ll be off-line until I get a new power cord. Widegtizing Skittlish, writing posts, and wanton surfing may be on hold for awhile.

If it seems like I’ve drifted off and haven’t posted or left any tracks on the site for some time then this would be why. My power cord has burned and melted and I am without a juiced computer.

[currently left with one hour and twelve minutes of power. So sad.]
