One Hundred and One Zen Stories

A collection of Zen stories. I love these things, but putting on the writer’s hat for a moment they’re also great instructions on how to write quick tales. Get in, get out. In other words, all you really need to tell a story is three sentences, a beginning, boy meets girl, a middle, boy loses girl, and an end, boy finds girl. Putting aside my use of woman as object, they get enough of that in media and pop culture as it is, stories need not be byzantine structures to make a lasting impact. These zen tales remind me of that point.
